Today is my adorable darling daughter's birthday. Happy Birthday Honey! xoxoxo
ps: Not sure why but sometimes this video goes to the end and sometimes it repeats itself ...

... and I noticed all these ads on the tv tonight ... YOU SHOULDN'T LOOK LIKE THIS - YOU SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS! Turns out they are advertising FOTOSHOP!

I stole this off Aunt Jessie - I just loved it! Thanks Jessie! I'm sure Boston has had lots of laughs with it! xoxo

It still amazes me that I love winter  - I would have never believed that I could be happy in snow after all the tropical climate I have lived in ... but hey these alps are magical!

Walking from Wednesday Assembly to the cog to get back up the mountain to where I live ... I COULD walk all the way up but I LOVE the cog! Lazy Me!
Picture
Here comes my cog - every hour at 20 minutes past - it gets me back to my building and I use it to get down the mountain to Aigle station where I can go anywhere ...

At night the cog reminds me of the Polar Express. Alex, Iris, Madeline and Ella Rose would get such a kick out of it ... and before long so would wee Hughie! I think Mark, Hugh and Luke would like it too - in fact ... lol

Recently my nephews Mark and Hugh rocked their Geography Bee in Ann Arbor Michigan. They placed right at the top out of a huge competition and were absolutely brilliant. Their younger bro Luke is equally awesome!

Sarah's wish to be invited to Matthew Crawley's wedding has been haunting me so I had to return to Downton Abbey last night.
Late in the evening I started Season Two.  A roller coaster of emotion left me drained but delighted when I finished at about 5am this morning.
So now I too am hoping for an invitation to the wedding! Oh when Matthew got down on his knees in the snow to propose to Mary properly, well ... I hope you didn't hear me sobbing YES YES YES from the Swiss Alps!
All the actors are magnificent and the subtly developed character of Mary is so engaging but Oh Maggie Smith - Maggie Smith! Every brilliant line she speaks leaves me choking with laughter...

Jackie and Kevin are leaving Budapest today having signed teaching contracts for next year! I am beyond thrilled!

... who are dealing with a lot of travel and challenge this weekend. xo

Last summer in Barcelona I was looking for a cafe one morning and came across this huge window ad (Tag Heuer watches I believe) which amazed me as the model is so much like my cousin Johnny years back and even still. I returned to my hotel for my camera for this photo and have been wanting to upload it here for a long while! Hey Johnny - quit your day job! xo

As you all know, I've got a thing with staircases. And entrances. Architecture seems pretty irrelevant this week however as my mind continually reverts to happy thoughts of our sweet new wee Hugh Pearson, his darling sisters and his two beautiful cousins.
